February 28, 2001
Thank you for responding to the Lord’s call to work this
weekend. In case you haven’t heard, I am the proud new
grandmother of Gabriella Jean O’Rourke. Gabriella was born
Feb. 19 and weighed 6lb.11oz. She has a full head of black hair.
At the last meeting several cursillistas responded to
requests to serve in some very challenging positions. As a
result of much prayer, all of the ministry heads have answered
the call to serve, so the next meeting should be very
productive.
Several things need to be accomplished at the next meeting
which will be held at Sacred Heart Hall at 2400 West Broadway in
Muskogee on March 16 and 17 beginning at 6:00 p.m. and ending
very promptly at noon on the 17th. Most of the rollos will be
critiqued at this meeting, and a lot of team building will
surely occur. Plans are in the works for a team mass to be
celebrated on Saturday morning. Please eat before you arrive. If
everyone will bring a snack to share, we will work with Muskogee
cursillistas to provide breakfast on Saturday. Of course you
will need to bring bedding and whatever necessities you feel
necessary when spending a lot of time with women overnight!
Because we are building community which must be very evident
to the candidates, we really find it necessary to make this
meeting mandatory along with the final meeting which will be on
April 7, at St. John’s in McAlester from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. Of course some problems always arise, so let’s just be
understanding and pray that they will be minimal. At this
meeting any rollos that have not been critiqued will need to be
shared and supplies will need to be checked.
We will also share lunch. Please bring something from the
following categories :
Last name ending in
the letters
A-F----salad or
vegetable
G-K—main dish
L-P--dessert
O-Z--contact me for
utensils and paper goods needed
Please call me if you have any concerns about the meetings or

The Lord will continue to work powerfully through this
ministry will our perseverance in offering palanca for both the
team and the candidates. Let’s continue to pray the
servant’s prayer daily in anticipation of a Spirit filled
weekend and a powerful and joyful perseverance in ours and the
candidates fourth day!
Your sister in Christ Jesus,
Marian O’Rourke
