I understand that it is highly desirable that both partners in a marriage attend, or commit to attend Cursillo weekends.  (If the timing is inconvenient, the spouse should commit to attend a Cursillo at a later date.)  I also understand that the Cursillo weekend is a Sacramental occasion, and the candidate should be in a position to partake of the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation (although participation is the candidate’s decision).  If the spouse is not Catholic, I have explained to the couple that the non-Catholic spouse should attend a similar weekend held by the spouse’s Church or a non-denominational weekend.

During the weekend, candidates and team will be requested to make a $50 donation (to the extent they are financially able to do so) to help pay the costs of the weekend.  The candidate’s registration deposit goes towards that donation.
